Hi and Welcome
This website was created so that you can few my progress of my animation tasks, you can see that I put each of the task in separate pages. And on this page was where a blogged my first few weeks back in University.
The post that should have been posted a while ago.... part 1
Right.... over two weeks behind of updates....
Alright here's the first one, that should been posted on the 17th October.
"To be fair this week has not been to great to me. But I have got on with my work and my plans for this year. Originally, I was going to do CGI for my option. Mainly based on that it'll seem that I would look like I am good on computers on my CV, that there is more jobs for CGI animation (plus the guys who worked on GTA wants more women to work for them!) and someone who I wish not to name to advise me on. However, since the events that happened to me and finding out that I can still attend to the lecture on the other options (Hand drawn, CGI and Stopmotion) no matter what I pick, I chose handdrawn as my main option.
"Hand drawn animation has been my main passion for a while. Also I thought it would be easier (the fact that we learnt the basics in our first year!) to practice hand drawn animation, while attending the other lesson/lectures.
"I just find it a shame that we can't properly learn the three different styles of animation. I did go to university hoping that I can learn as much as possible within my subject."
Stopmotion
Still behind with the posts... Here's ones of the tasters
"This week has been interesting, since I have attented to all the lesson so far. First we had CGI, which was just a lesson on using the basic tool. It was kinda nice and borning for me. "We are using a full verson of Autodesk Maya. I have used this program before while I was on a course on a CGI during the summer 2007. It was a nice recap on it, since I have forgot most things about it. But the same time boring once I remember it all and the lesson started to feel tedious after a while. I have no examples to show since we made no animation in that session. "Next was Stopmotion, where we were given two different tasks to do. First was to created a stopmotion animation with the world around you. This is the animation that Gemma Roberts, Vikki Clark and I made called Mary Poppins! "I had a lot of fun making this video! Unpurposely we made an animation using the special effects from the Disney film "Mary Poppins", such as having a bottom less bag and an umbrella that can make you fly. I tried to stay really consistant in the film. I didn't want it to look too jumpy. |

"The next task I did was with Gemma Rorbets again. We had to give a inanimate objects an emotion and a story. Our story was based on murder, Gemma's charater was an energetic scissors and mine was a timid glove." |
